The members of Lazy Bird have played with each other on the local Jazz scene
to a request for a gig from a local club owner. Since then, Lazy Bird has
developed into one of New Jersey's hottest Jazz Bands. Combining an ear for
contemporary sounds with a healthy respect for tradition, Lazy Bird's sound
has been described as being influenced by Jazz greats Miles Davis & John Coltrane
mixed with the R&B sensibilities of Ray Charles and Maceo Parker along with
a liberal dose of Funk, Latin, and World Beat styles.
